this jumped out at me becuase he’s trying to explain everything to ender but personally i feel he’s hurting him more. this quote shows that the society as a hole is against catholosism and religion as a hole possibly. this quot really shows that i think with how he talks about how his father was baptised and named john paul (prob. after the catholic pope). i think they should of put the word criminal in diffrerent print becaue personallyy that word speaks volumes to me. to begin with crimal is a very harsh word and then put it a the end of this quote and it just stops me dead in my tracks. i think as thhe book progresses that itll be shown that this socety as a hole either is a against catholosism or against religion as a hole. if so i believe conflict will aris from that and make for some very interesting reading to come. |
