Skelatal draft? what the hell is that. i honestly dont no so what im going to do is list big factors of my paper and other such things.
-my issue is Artists Against Downloading when theyre making more money than god. i feel this is huge because muscians make so much money from concerts and merchandise that they should all shut the f#$% up and play there music for there fans not for the money.
-Quotes: “If we let this stand, you’re going to see the undoing of this society. i didnt preside over this movie industry to see it disintegrate like the music industry.” Jack Valenti (head of the motion picture association of america)
“I dont feel guilty. the music industry needs to realize that this is here to stay.” Sean Farrell (Yale senior 2003)
“I dont want them to protect me. i want my fans to listen no matter how they acquire it.” Drainman (lead singer for Disturbed)
“Bruce Springstein probably made more money last year with touring than he ever has in his career.” Huey Lewis (lead singer for Huey Lewis and the News)
“As a musician i am outraged by downloading. i cant make a cent of that style of music acusition.” 6 months later after huge fan revolt “i said some things that i didnt no all the facts about so i am personally apologizing to all the fans out there that i lost support from.” Mark Hoppus (Bass/Vocals for Blink 182)
-honestly my paper is against rich artists who live in big mansions that are complaining about loseing money to downloading. not loseing popularity, not loseing fan base but instead loseing money by getting more popular.
Second To Last Blog Post
i saw many things today that i want to do in my slideshow and also many things i think i should never do. i saw great pics that made you focus directly on the topic at hand but at the same time many bad pics or bad flicks that either didnt make sense with the topic or were so outrageous that you lost site of the topic. personally im going to use great images that make the viewers immediatly draw an opinion about my topic. possibly controversal but will get the job done.
i would say that my arguement is that artists (musicians) are complaining about loseing money to the ever growing free illegal downloading systems like Kazza and Lime Wire, yet theyre making more money than anyone in the history of the music buisness. they get cuts on many things other than there CD sales. for them to put out that theyre loseing lots of money due to downloading is BS cause there getting cuts from there concerts, which are most likely over priced and always packed, and merchandise which is an ever growing thing putting names and the bands name on everything from shirts to michelanious shit.
musicians are winey babies and need to grow up. though they may lose some money to downloading, their fan base is growing because now they can listen to there songs for free which then they turn around and most likely will go to a concert first chance they get.
What ever happened to its all for the fans?

“It’s not about tolerating or aestheticizing chaos; it’s about finding order and meaning in the world, and making decisions that help create order.” (Johnson 62)
this quote explains working in a group on a wiki page because working with others you have to create order and make tough decisons. whether it be to cut something i said or cut something someone else originally said you have to make decisions. you might read this quote and draw a question about the whole chaos aspect of this but you no what when ur in college and working with 4 other people there is chaos. theres tempers theres egos theres all thatgood stuff. group work is tough but when it comes down to it its much easier to collect knowledge through a couple people rather than just one person. this quote is perfect to describe group work and thats why i decided so quickly that this was the quote i would use for my 19 b blog post.
thank you and good night.
AMS + ENGLISH = SAME TOPIC (19 a)
“…communities however, are held together through the mutual production and reciprocal exchange of knowledge.” (Jenkins 27).
for my english research paper im doing it on whats the real problem with Downloading music. im doing this because look around today at music artist and you see the highest payed musicians in the history of the world. you see them driving fancy cars and playing sold out shows that cost anywhere from 50 bucks to 190 bucks. yet many artist are completly against downloading saying that it ruins there profits. this quote i think works well with my topic because its saying how as a community we are kept going by sharing in collective knowledge… last i checked downloading is just that. this quote makes me really want to persue my question of: Why are so many musicians against music dowloading when theyre getting payed millions anyways?
